Hi,
I believe it is possible to run the new "Re-Router" on a linux box, this would save the cost of a XP licence. However I dont know how to achieve it.
Has anyone "Clever" any ideas?

Regular version within a VMWare linux host? All free.
Mmmmm?
Not sure I understand the answer.
If I download the Re-Router I end up with an .exe file.
So to run this, I will need a dos/windows enviroment on my Linux VMware server, am I not back to where I started?
bulldog: <s>You will be able to run rerouter on a linux box once the 5.4 install from CD or as we call it the classic Untangle distribution is out.</s> No date for it yet, but we are testing it now.
To what YeOldeStoneCat is saying is that you can take the vmdk and vmx file out of c:\Program Files\Untangle from a windows install and copy them to a Linux box to run them under vmware.
Actually I have now been told that there may not be a UI for it in the classic/ISO Untangle release.
OK I will have a go at this tomorrow and report back!

Has there been an update to this lately. Can I install re-router on Linux from the latest version of Untangle CD or do I need to install Re-router on Windows and copy the VMware environment from the Windows PC to a VMware Player on a Linux PC?
