    Exclamation Untangle Latest Version and Server got Crypted - How Come !!!???

    Hi everyone,

    Getting hammered by customer who lost all contents of HDD DESPITE having Untangle with IPS and Firewall enabled...

    Can someone please try to help me understand why this happened???

    There are so many ways. HTTPS downloaded malware, email attachment, phishing and others. Usually users not questioning a link or attachment sent to them. You may still have malware on the internal network.

    Wrong! 'Ever' is a very long time from now. Just understand, applying more proven layers on the endpoint(s) and within UT is your best pro-active defense...

    Whitelisting works 100% of the time...and on the other side of the fence social engineering works every-time its tried.
