    Question IPS/IDS Warning

I seen another post where someone reported the same thing. I think it was thought it wouldn't affect functionality but in my case it is. So here is the warning:
    ips1.PNG

Here is a bar graph of the events that were logged:
    ips2.PNG

The issue is when you go look at the actual log its empty:
    ips3.PNG

Which of course makes IPS/IDS pretty much useless if you can't look at the events. I just installed untagle this morning (i'm on my trial). I just installed the IDS app and turned it on and didn't change any settings (i think everything all the rules are logging by default). I tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it but it didn't help.

    Talking Welcome

    ...to Untangle, and the forums!

Have you ever put anything in the filter/search at the top of any report?

if you have and it appears to be empty, a filter might be active; and a work around might be to type anything into that box, and then hit the [x] to clear it.

Time and date can cause issues querying a database. Try changing the Since: selector to Yesterday (that is actually includes yesterday and today).

It is most helpful if you can include much more of your screen in screenshot, including the URL bar of the browser, so we can better evaluate what is going on.

    Thanks.
If you think I got Grumpy

Thanks Jim. This is exactly what i did. When you looked at the search box you couldn't tell any filtering had been applied so i just typed some gibberish into the search box and then cleared it and it fixed the issue and it magically fixed the issue. Anything other than the URL in the future that i could include to make troubleshooting easier?

Well, yeahbut it depends on what is going on. Obviously, we didn't need a sketch of your network layout to understand this issue.

Later in the game, spelling out the version you are running is helpful.

Could you please open a support ticket to raise this issue? A Jira Open issue needs to be generated.
    I would be grateful.
    Thanks.

Sure will. I will following up tomorrow morning with a ticket. Again thanks for the help. Granted i don't know if they will throw it away because i'm in my trial period and haven't officially paid for it yet.
