VPN traffic through privateinternetaccess.com

Hi,

I realize that I cannot use Untangles version of OpenVPN to connect to privateinternetaccess.com. I have installed the trial and have tried a few times to connect my IPSeC VPN to Private internetaccess.com. I just want to privatize all my external traffic. Has anyone had any luck connecting to this service?

They support IPSec. The only issue I have is that I have to enter a username and password. Is there a place to enter a Username and password?

Those instructions are for L2TP.

Thats something different (it just happens to often use ipsec)

So, given this information, is there not a way to set up the IPSEC vpn to connect to privateinternetaccess.com? Is there any other alternative with untangle and this service?

I was able to do this with DD-WRT and Tomato.. There's got to be a way to do this with untangle..

Just scrolling through those instructions, there "may" be a a way to adapt the OpenVPN configuration to work with Untangle, but none of the other paths will work.

Sky-Knight. Thanks for the info. Can you guide me where to set up the configuration file to set up OpenVPN as a client? Right now, I have it set up as a server.. But as a client, the configuration file that it accepts is different format.

If you have it setup as a server, you could setup a fictitious "site" export that configuration and use it as a template.

I'm sorry I can't offer much more help than that, I'm not even sure this can work, but it's the best shot you've got.

Oh man.. This is going to be a daunting task.. Sky-Knight, I've tried modifying the "Template" file from the exported server file.. But any edits I do seem to fail the import process..

I've noticed that the untangle has three key files, and the privateinternet access only has one. I'm not a complete noob, but I know that I'll need to modify this template heavily and I don't know where to start.. Given this information, does anyone have any suggestions for modifying my "Template" (The one at the bottum) so we can get the top one working as a client? I've searched around these forums and I can't find anyone who has attempted this..
