    Default Guide for Windows 8

    Hi

I've very familiar with OpenVPN and have used it with Windows 8 no problem with Untangle.

I'm not familiar with IPsec at all. Is there a guide or can someone give me a rough step-by-step guide for enabling IPsec with Untangle 10.2 and Windows 8 client? Untangle is running in router mode.

    Thanks

I've tried that but what else do I need to configure on Untangle. There isn't anything in the wiki that talks about just getting Windows 8 to be a client and what you minimally need to configure on Untange.

What version of Untangle are you rocking?
If you have 10.2 you should have a option under IPsec VPN thats named "L2TP Options".

Under there you need to enabled L2TP server.
Then Select the Listen Address (The address the clients need to specify when connection)
Specify what Address pool that should be used.
And then add the IPsec Secret that you will need to specify on the client as well.

Then at last you need local user created in the Local Directory.
