Default Windows 10 Mobile not working w/ L2TP

    Hi all,

I just got a Microsoft Lumia 950. It runs the new Windows Mobile 10 (i.e. Windows Phone 10 that uses the more common code-base as other Windows 10 OSs).

Anyway, I am unable to connect to the IPSec L2TP VPN provided by Untangle NG 11.2. It worked perfectly on my Lumia 925 running Windows Phone 8.1.

I'm suspecting this is a Windows 10 Mobile problem and not an Untangle problem.

However, some research I've done gives the impression that the error could be caused by a mismatch on the L2TP client/server using MSCHAP & MSCHAPv2 (i.e. either side using one of these, rather than both using MSCHAPv2).

Do we know what version Untangle NG is using?

FYI the error I get on my phone is:
    Code:
The VPN connection failed with error code 812.
Thanks in advance for any help you can render.

    Regards,
    -
    Doug

Here's what I see in the NG L2TP logs (note I have replaced the client's actual public IP with 1.2.3.4):

I have noted in bold red the line that I am most interested in. I don't know what would cause the control_finish. Is that initiated by the client or the L2TP server on the Untangle.

    Code:
    Nov 28 21:15:49 untangle xl2tpd[15006]: control_finish: Connection closed to 1.2.3.4, port 1701 (), Local: 33426, Remote: 9
