Default Unable to ping across the IPSec tunnel.

I have a untangle->WAN<-Untangle setup.. IPSec traffic works just fine but I am unable to ping any device across on the other side of the tunnels.

For some reason I also cannot ping the gateways. on either side even know the filter rules are set correctly.. Or I assume.

If you are sending a ping to a remote Windows box, the Microsoft firewall app will prevent responding to pings from devices outside the IP range.

By Untangle setup default, LAN IP of the Untangle is pingable through the tunnel. I would use tcpdump on either side to see if the ping is received and why it's not responding.

No firewalls on any of the devices inside of the networks.

    I will run tcpdump.

    Thanks

I'm referring to the Windows built-in firewall. For pings to respond from a remote networks, it must be turned off.

Trust us, this is the most incorrect thing you'll say all year.
