    Default Client recomendations?

Hello all, was hoping to get some feedback on vpn clients to use with ipsec/untangle. In the past I used to connect to my ASA 5505 at home with either the old Cisco ipsec client, or more recently, with the Shrewsoft vpn client. I would love to continue using the Shrewsoft vpn client with an ipsec client tunnel on Untangle.

Has anyone used this client? Perhaps has some config examples or tips?

    Thanks.

The IPSec module has an L2TP tab, I usually just configure the inbuilt client on whatever I'm working with to attach to that. Untangle's IPSec isn't intended for road warriors, only site-to-site tunnels.

Actually IPsec L2TP or Xauth works great for PC VPN. I use it constantly on my phone.

That's what I said, but L2TP isn't IPSec, yet in Untangle it's part of the IPSec module.

Commonly referred to L2TP is actually L2TP over IPsec connection.
