Default IPSec Tunnel to NordVPN ?

NordVPN support IPSec/IKE. Should it be possible to connect Untangle as a client via IPSec to a VPN-provider please ?

If the house approves the senate decision on the sale of browsing history, this might become a popular topic

Untangle cannot be a client of any such service, it doesn't matter what VPN tech you use.

Oh, and it doesn't matter what the government does. Google owns all that data already, Facebook has a ton more. Your ISP selling a few web links isn't going to make a lick of difference in your day to day privacy concerns. It already doesn't exist.

Yes, it does. Google and Facebook don't record traffic they don't see.

google and facebook can't see what porn you like.
They can't see what you download on bittorrent. They can't see what games you play and what kind of refrigerator you have or how much you weigh according to your withings scale. Your ISP knows all these things.

(The only exception is for sites that use google's urchin - google does see that traffic, but that is easily and commonly blocked by plugins like ghostery.)

Sure, Google can see what you search for and your gmail mail, and Facebook knows what you buy on amazon, but thats not the same as knowing *everything* you do on the internet.

Just giving up on privacy because you've already lost some is a guaranteed way to lose all your privacy. Regardless, even if you don't care, some of us do.

So the solution is to use a VPN service that is just another ISP?

And usage data is generally scrubbed of individually specific information. You're talking about the ISP being able to sell what Windows has been sniffing for years. Apple does it too. I mean, I'd love it to stop but honestly the genie is already out of the bottle. I don't even know where to begin on how to stuff it back in because for most people the cell phone is a larger more accurate data collection point anyway, and all major platforms are sending the data home already. And people just don't care. At least not enough of them do to change an election over it.

Yes, exactly. An ISP that is committed to not selling data or not under US jurisdiction.

    Or your own VPS...

Well then, when can Untangle do full tunnel on a site-to-site?

That is the reason for my question. There are several good VPN-providers (eg ProtonVPN) who offer privacy oriented services, but they support only OpenVPN. As for as I know, the only reputable VPN-provider with an IPsec offering is NordVPN. Untangle at Home would receive a boost if mentioned on the https://nordvpn.com/nl/flashrouters/ page.
An app for Untangle with functionality like a kill-switch to prevent leaking when the tunnel is down and/or DNS leak resolver would be even better.
There are now several companies who offer privacy oriented solutions like eblocker.com or https://sense.f-secure.com/ but I rather prefer Untangle to fill the blank.

    Feature request added:

Though for OpenVPN, it could apply to IPSec just as well.

I would like to see Untangle add support for both.
