just to advise this did not resolve the issue. the IPSec VPN decided to stop working again today.
the annoying thing is there is very little within the logs to indicate this, just that we can no longer communicate between the 2 sites.

Is it configured with IKEv1 or IKEv2?

13.2 has an update to IPsec to reconnect automatically if it detects the tunnel is down.

I would also change it to IKEv2 (at least I would have before you upgraded your devices). I found IKEv2 to be more resilient than IKEv1 for this kind of thing. And when coupled with Connect on Demand (instead of Always Connected), our problems are pretty much gone. We came to this point with a combination of our own efforts & Untangleís tech support manager. But that was on 13.1. So I canít say whether this is also the perfect formula for 13.2. I suspect it is though.

Yes - I would also suggest moving to IKEv2
