Use IP instead of MAC address in the filter rule. DHCP reservation is handling the MAC to IP mapping.

Simplest way. Set the DHCP as static in Config -> Network -> DHCP Server -> Current DHCP Leases. Then block the IP by creating a Filter rule in Config -> Network -> Filter Rules.

dashpuppy liked post by sky-knight On thread : How do I see firewall blocks on the WAN interface?
Untangle has two different types of apps within it... apps and services. You can have an app per policy, but a service only runs once per installation. Services interact with the kernel more...

dashpuppy liked post by jcoffin On thread : Access Untangle and Provide external 443 access
It's not port forward but access. In Config -> Network -> Advanced -> Access. You can enabled HTTPS from WAN to access the GUi from the WAN IP. I do not recommend enabling this since it provides...

I run something similar but just use two switches and two subnets connected separately to the eth slots for a different reason. I never had any problems when they were all together before I separated...

iperf is useless, it doesn't engage the UVM. To properly benchmark NGFW you have to generate many HTTPs sessions to a hundred https servers all at once... and all of those servers have to be real...

dashpuppy liked post by sky-knight On thread : Alias IP Address over Open VPN
You cannot cheat and reuse IP addresses, the conflict isn't for a singular address, it's for all of them in the range. That's TCP/IP 101... one or the other networks must be renumbered. This is...

BUT THEY AREN'T! If they were, we wouldn't be having this conversation. The settings after remap move with the physical interface flag, NOT the virtual one. That's the bug! Configure an...

There may be better cards out there however, if the Untangle software doesn't support multiple SSID's it won't matter. Maybe one of the employees will chime in? -MW

It's all good. The W4 units were purchased for family and I didn't want to go through setting up additional components. After all, I have to support them. Aruba, Ubiquity, etc. are good choices :)

dashpuppy liked post by sky-knight On thread : Remap Interfaces no longer works
Remap interfaces allows you to move a virtual interface (internal) to a different physical interface (eth1). So if you need internal to be on ETH4, you can drag it from eth1 where it is by...
