Yes, it is different from other products in how it logs and shows that blocked sessions. Not wrong, and not worse, just different. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I think the home license is worth it for ANY home user, in all circumstances at the cost of $50/yr. But that is a narrow minded opinion based on the fact I use a lot of the features in Untangle that...

I have been doing partial inspection for a long time, but always wondered what I was missing by only selectively inspecting. So as a test/learning experience I thought I would try full inspection,...

Yup. That forum is useful. My top pick is still an mDNS relay/service to make it easier to put certain IoT things is a separate VLAN without compromising functionality.

But WHY??? A UPS service or NUT support is dead simple to implement (on the client side, no idea how hard for Untangle to code), and then you don't have to put up with a dirty down. It just makes...

Agreed. Direct attached UPS (or, even better, NUT) support is long overdue in my opinion.

You can setup an Ubuntu server, install AVAHI, and configure it for mDNS repeating to span VLAN/subnets. Fairly easy to do, there are multiple guides floating around the net. Here's one, but there...

Example port forward rule for this. The rule could be tweaked, but it works as-is so I haven't bothered streamlining/cleaning it up. I wanted to be 100% sure the port forward wouldn't affect...

That is super simple. Make a port forward that any DNS traffic that is outbound, and not from the Untangle IP, gets redirected to the Untangle IP. I'm pretty sure I have posted pics of my port...

I'm never a supporter of virtualizing your perimeter security device. I would never let my enterprise do that, and wouldn't do it in a home environment either. Just my opinion.
