    Default smtp issue

    Hello,

I am running untangle 7.0 in the Bridge mode. I need to configure it to accept incoming internet emails from a certain ip range. Where in untangle can I set this rule?

    Thank you.

In port forwarding would be the first place to start.

untangle doesn't "accept" emails - it just scans them on the way to your email server.

like raditude says, you need to setup port forward to your email server.

I would like to have an entry in untangle that can do the following pix command:

access-list INBOUND permit tcp x.x.0.0 255.255.240.0 host x.x.x.x eq smtp

    Is it possible?

    how is untangle installed?

if as a bridge you need to do nothing.
if as a router you need to add a port forward.

then unless you've turned on firewall and added rules - smtp port 25 passes already (and gets scanned by installed apps)
