    Default Untangle STILL messing with SFTP traffic!!

    The issue mentioned here is STILL occurring. About 1/5 SFTP connections fail with Untangle in the way. Take Untangle out of the picture and our system works 100%. The fact that it connects 4/5 times means this is not an ACL or some filtering problem. It is Untangle messing with the traffic somehow. Turning off all the racks doesn't help.

    Server Summary:
    Build: 7.3.1~svn20100616r26927release7.3-1lenny
    Java: 1.6.0_12

    I would like a link to the workaround. Today I am implementing two 45 user sites and they use sftp.

    If you turned off FTP processing it isn't doing any FTP-specific processing (for things like virus blocker). If you turned it off and still have the issue it likely has nothing to do with the link you posted.

    Its still going through the UVM for apps like protocol control, firewall, IPS, etc.

    You could try adding a bypass rule and not scanning it at all.

    It's in bridge mode...I don't know how you can say it has nothing to do with it...they sound awfully similar.

    Where do you add the bypass rule?

    They sound awfully familiar except that almost everything about them is different except the word "SFTP"

    config->networking->advanced->bypass.
