    I still believe that it's a fair deal. At least the guys are providing a nice GUI for the free/open source modules, and they're not locking it down like most other vendors hiding they're running a Linux box (Barra*cough*cuda, etc.) - so you've got all the tools you need - tcpdump, nc, vi - just need a bit of the hacking spirit :-)
    Try the tcpdump and post results, we may be able to figure it out together. I don't have a MS VPN setup handy, so can't test :-(

    The support team also helps users without subscriptions.
    However if you don't contact them, they won't help you.

    Thanks I will do that. I was under the impression that no support other then the forums was available for the free additions.

    i see no one has posted a fix for this problem yet other than contact support free or paid is that the only solution I take it? contact support?

    Not much. They had me turn on remote access and they change some options but it hasn't worked yet. Waiting on another reply. Don't expect much for free, ya know.

    I have implemented MS direct access, and have the same issue.

    Event log is saying:

    A connection between the VPN server and the VPN client "Myip" has been established, but the VPN connection cannot be completed. The most common cause for this is that a firewall or router between the VPN server and the VPN client is not configured to allow Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) packets (protocol 47).

    You've been told multiple times to contact support and you've refused.
    Probably time for you to move on. Sorry Untangle didn't work for you.
