Default Associating Names with IP address for Reporting

I'm looking for a way to associate user Names with IP addresses to they will appear correctly on Reports.
My system running on Windows Multipoint Server driving Wyse terminals. WMS is configured to give each Station its own IP address. While it *may* be possible to assign a specific IP to a station, I have not found it yet, and even if it's possible, it does not help as a user can logon to different stations.
There is no AD/DC, so the directory connector is out (unless it can work with local logons).
The only way I can think of to associate a user Name with an IP for reporting purposes is to maybe use the captive portal assuming it will do that).
This is OK, but I'd rather not make people have to logon when they want to use the Internet. Can this logon process be automated?

    Thanks, Roy

I had already looked at Name Map. Isn't that only going to useful for a static environment? If a user logs on to WMS from different terminals, they likely would get different IP addresses, so a particular user would have data logged for multiple IP addresses. I don't see how Name Map could put that all together.

Untangle will only know about the username used on a random PC if AD or Captive Portal is used.

Right, I had that worked out already.
    1) Is AD a must or will the AD Connector register local logons to this system?
    2) Is there a way to automate the portal logon - maybe with the current Windows user credentials - so the user isn't pestered by this every time?

    AD server is required.

It should be possible with a custom captive portal to read the local username.

Perfect. Not much of a web-head, but it sounds like it can be done.

    Thanks, Roy
