Question Slow Browsing & Pages Not Found

My hardware is an AMD Phenom II x4 with 8GB RAM. The Untangle install listed everything as "Great", but browsing is slowe now (5-10 seconds) loading and sometimes fails and I have to refresh. My Internet is 100mbps/10mbps. I didn't have this with my TP-Link router.

Been getting this error sometimes just browsing through the interface. Not sure if this is related:

What version are you currently running there? Also have you done anything with QOS on the appliance yet there?

I have to admit I experience the same.

Using Google Chrome (Windows 7 - i7 based 2013 based laptop) I have a bookmark folder that contains maybe 8 bookmarks.

If I open the folder, it creates an equal number of tabs accordingly. Pretty much every time it puts out "so and so web site took too long to respond". However I refresh and it reloads without issue.

I had ZyXEL UTM where I did NOT experience this. Also, the exact same PC ... at work ... again, all tabs open without issue.

    I have a 20M down 800K up DSL.

What version of Untangle are you running. Was it a clean install, or upgrade? If upgrade, from what version?

    Untangle 12.2.0 - Clean Install

It was a fresh 12.2.0 install with all of the latest upgrades applied.

Are you by any chance running Ad Blocker or Web Cache in your setup there currently? Is QOS enabled or disabled?

Ad blocker - yes - cookie only.
    Web Cache - no.

    QOS is enabled.

I am open to recommendations to try.
