    Default Non FQDN resolution

I have many devices behind my untangle server. I am using the DHCP and DNS servers. I want to use my.lan rather than example.come. I setup my reverse for and my domain in the DNS settings as below
168.192.in-addr.arpa = untangle server internal IP
Domain =my.lan = untangle server internal IP

If I leave the hostname to untangle.example.com I can ping hostname and do a nslookup just fine.
buy replies come back from untangle.example.com.

It breaks if I try to make it untangle.my.lan.

How can I make my local server reply for my local domain?

You should be able to set it at
    Code:
    your_ip/admin/index.do#config/network/hostname
. It requires saving and maybe a restart.

Thanks. I was unaware I need to reboot. I had tried without the reboot. Thanks.

A reboot should not be required. If it is, there is an issue. Let us know.
