Default moving LAN from one Nic to Another

I have LAN (internal) on nic 3. This is a separate intel card.

The main pc has two nic slots 1 and 2, only 1 is being used for WAN

I now want to put nic 3to nic 2 so I can use the intel card elsewhere.

I thought it was just a case of remapping the interfaces. I dragged nic 3 to nic 2

Once applied, nic 2 is now called internal, but all the settings for the LAN remain on nic 3.

How can I apply the nic 3 settings to nic 2 please?

(I have to say this dragging malarky on network interfaces is not very friendly.)

Ah well in the end I had to run the wizard again from the actual machine, because I could not turn off the one interface that was allowing me to access it.

This is neither here nor there because I should have remembered that untangle throws a fit if you change any hardware and sure enough once I removed the now redundant nic, untangle just says waiting for UVM to boot.

    Looks like a clean install.

From here, a restore without networking should be helpful. You can also import aspects of custom networking rules and advanced items if you have saved them individually as json exports. Most people should not have much need for that.
