    Question Best practices?

Is there any best practice for Untangle? Should I have Untangle running everything such as DHCP, DNS and firewall? Or split it up with Untangle firewall, and something else behind Untangle running DNS and DHCP?

Well, what is the environment? If it is a MS domain, with AD, etc. then others will be best to tell you how to delegate those services.

If it is an a home or small business, I would recommend putting the modem into bridge mode and letting NGFW do everything it does.
The configuration is in a common GUI and updates are coordinated.

Best Practices for Untangle generally boil down to "as default as possible".

To get more specific, we need a more specific question.
