Question OneDrive / GoodSync error related to untangle

    Hi everyone!

I've been a happy untangle user for almost a year now!

For many years I've been using a software called "GoodSync" to sync the OneDrive accounts of 7 family members on my server.

2 weeks ago the sync started to fail for 2 of these accounts, and the onedrive app on their smartphones began to behave in a strange way too (pictures just would not open with an error message that the file was "moved/deleted" or "the user had no permission to access it").

The sync error I get in GoodSync points towards untangle - anyone got an idea what the issue could be?

    Code:
ERROR: Error copying file: No Certificate or it does not verify (error 20): unable to get local issuer certificate [SUBJECT] 'untangle.example.com' [ISSUER] '/C=US/ST=California/L=Sunnyvale/O=Untangle/OU=Security/CN=www.untangle.com' [THUMBPRINT] SHA-1=E2D6608F8E23ADB408E05531D64FB9B6D9F95900
I asked the GoodSync support but they were not very helpful as they don't know what untangle is

remove spyware that is spying on your communication to MS server

Some apps have hard-coded certificates to avoid MITM attacks. On the those apps, you cannot use SSL-Inspector on their sessions.

    Thank you for your reply!

I don't use the SSL Inspector, but I have the following apps active:

    Web Filter
    Virus Blocker
    Bandwidth Control
    Application Control
    Firewall
    Ad Blocker
    OpenVPN
    Intrusion Prevention

Could one of these cause the problem?

What confuses me is that the other 5 accounts still sync fine and only 2 are affected. All 7 accounts are Office 365 accounts, so there is no difference there.

Look at in reports for the blocking issue. I would start by using one of the internal PC's IP as a filter and then look at any blocking event reports. Without SSL Inspector installed, the likely candidate for the issue is a block page.
