Need screenshots of all of the interfaces on Untangle, and if possible the screen shot of the IP configuration of the Plex server.

    Hi,

Sorry I meant 172.16.2.1 for the gateway, typo.

Sure, here is the interface/Plex IPConfig.

Edit: couldn't get the Interface screen shot to upload so here is an alt image:

Thank for the help on this. New to Untangle

Ahh thanks, that rules out a ton of minor errors. I see no faults in the IP configurations, and everything is on /24 masks so no overlaps.

We're back to Windows Firewall, by default it rejects everything not from the local segment. That "should" include anything that's being NAT translated, but still for troubleshooting purposes it would be best to disable it for testing.

    Hi,

I have the windows firewall disabled by default on windows box/have it disabled now for Plex. I can reach the Plex box on port 32400 from Untangle. I just can't reach it from the outside in. See the image below/linked (if it doesn't upload again). Let me know if that clarifies it a bit more.

    Thank you!

    Well, that's good...

So back to the last bit of basics, a screen shot of the forward rule. I know you translated it, but I'm just ticking off the basic boxes before we start going crazy here.

Sure, here is a screen shot of the rule. I've tried it with out the source interface specified as well, but I read someone to add that if you're having issues. Didn't seem to have an effect.

Edit: The forum hates me again, here you go: ibb.co/DVrpyyN
2nd Edit: Apparently the screenshot did upload the last time I tried but didn't show me. I don't know how to work this thing apparently, go figure

    Ahh....

And now we find our first niggle!

See that Source Interface flag? Nuke it please! Once you do, the rule will work from inside your network.

It is not just you. I have found that if I immediately re-submit, it seems to work.
Also, 'manage attachments' below in advanced seems to work a little more reliably.

Can do. I did that and still doesn't seem to have an effect. Still getting the same result as far as I can see.

Thank you! Using advanced and the attachment manager definitely seems to work better. Glad it's not just me!
