Question Does anyone have working solution for Namecheap DDNS?

As the title says I would really appreciate someone's help with this because for the past few hours reading old threads and suggestions but, I have not found a working solution.

    Code:
    [root @ untangle] ~ # ddclient --verboseCONNECT: myip.dnsomatic.com
    CONNECTED: using HTTP
    SENDING: GET / HTTP/1.0
    SENDING: Host: myip.dnsomatic.com
    SENDING: User-Agent: ddclient/3.8.3
    SENDING: Connection: close
    SENDING:
    RECEIVE: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    RECEIVE: Server: nginx
RECEIVE: Date: Fri, 16 Oct 2020 05:13:21 GMT
    RECEIVE: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8
    RECEIVE: Content-Length: 13
    RECEIVE: Connection: close
    RECEIVE: Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=2628000
    RECEIVE: X-Frame-Options: deny
    RECEIVE: X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block
    RECEIVE:
    RECEIVE: 73.xxx.xx.xxx
SUCCESS: untangle: skipped: IP address was already set to 73.xxx.xx.xxx.

I use Namecheap as well and dynamic DNS is working.

Your configuration appears to be dialed in correctly and pretty much mirrors what I've done. The only thing different is that mine is set to "Use Hostname"

Need more data, what isn't working?

Is the dynamic DNS address not updating?
Are OpenVPN clients unable to connect after a change?

If it's the latter, it's precisely because of the aforementioned use hostname configuration.

    I use Namecheap's DDNS. Hostname(s) should be: @

    Thanks for the replies!

The problem is that 0.0.0.0 never updates on Namecheap.
I've tried now with untangle and @ under "HOST RECORDS"
and also under "DYNAMIC DNS" I have @. Can someone confirm what they have on Namecheap?

I thought you left the IP in Namecheap as 0.0.0.0 so nobody can see your WAN IP. Delete the A record and leave A+Dynamic DNS Record with host @ and value="your IP address). On Untangle follow my previous post. It's working for me and I don't see the reason it shouldn't work for you too.

To be clear use hostname has nothing to do with the DDNS updates... it just configures Untangle to use the dynamic hostname for its VPN clients and such.

For the past few days I've been trying all configurations on Untangle under Hostname(s) I've tried @ and untangle but IP on namecheap.com does not get updated from 1.2.3.4 or any other random IPs that I've tried.
I did change to Use hostname on Untangle.

What do you have on namecheap.com under host @ or yourhostname?

Could it be that Untangle does not think IP should be updated on namecheap.com?
Sorry for so many questions but this should be a simple update but for some reason I'm not having any luck with it.
