Dual WAN & Dynamic DNS

Hello folks,

I have a dual wan setup.

Both ISPs ( Sonic & Etheric ) occasionally change my endpoint IP. That's fine.

I have one 'WAN side' behaving correctly w/ the Dynamic DNS Service Configuration.

What's the proper way in UT to get Dynamic DNS running for the other WAN side?

my goal is to be able to get in to my home from both ISPs, to prepare for one failing.

NGFW DDNS is not designed to work correctly with dual WANs. We are looking to add that ability in the future.

Yeah, if you have multiple WANs your best bet is to run updators on separate interior devices, so you can NAT policy those devices out a specific WAN.

You CAN do this now, it's just not all in the Untangle box.

A pair of very tiny linux VMs would be ideal for this, a couple of containers would be even better if you have K8S available.

Used to do it by modifying the ddclient.conf file in UT. But that was quite a hassle, you are better off letting another device handle ddns updates and making rules in UT to route traffic to the ddns update servers with the corresponding wan.
