equirement that Untangle see APIPA addresses as non-local

I have a requirement that Untangle see APIPA addresses (169.254.x.x) as non-local. Is there a way of doing this?

The reason is that I am planning on using Untangle's Web Filtering capabilities but in a slightly strange environment. In this network, external DNS resolution is via servers in remote location that have APIPA addresses (don't ask why, I didn't design it).

Windows is OK with this setup but I have had issues with *nix in the past. My workaround for is to use a route statement to forward all traffic destined for APIPA addresses to the router.

So my question is, can I do the same with Untangle?

Windows won't be ok with this when you make the trip to Vista... I learned that one the hard way. It simply will not talk to those IP addresses if they are beyond a router... This will also hold true for Windows 7, it is part of the kernel now...
