    Exclamation Can't get into Terminal

When I launch a terminal at the UT Desktop, it comes up with a pw prompt. When I enter the root pw, the terminal window sits for a second and then closes?

I reset the admin accounts using the recovery utilities and that didn't help, either.

Is this a known issue with 6.02?

    Thanks.

your root password is incorrect. Resetting to factory default does not change your root password.
to be understood, you must first understand.

    Exclamation Help!

This is not looking good for me.

Is there any way to reset the root password short of doing a factory reset? If I need to do a factory reset, can I back everything up and restore without also restoring the root password?

    What are my options here?

Deleted the post. Not sure if we want to let people change their root passwords.

Why not? I haven't seen the post you deleted, but I imagine I know what it was, which would mean they would need physical access to the box.
Vote here to have wireless included in Untangle.

Well if it supports this flaw (I don't know if this works)
Press ESC at the grub prompt.

    Press e for edit.

Highlight the line that begins kernel ………, press e

Go to the very end of the line, add rw init=/bin/bash

press enter, then press b to boot your system.

Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.

    Type in passwd username
