This release is mainly for WireGuard and UEFI and latest security updates. Also IMG files are not provided as of 16.0 since the ISO is bootable and can be written to an USB going forward.

Thanks Rob! WireGuard is quite the improvement in speed and ease of use over OpenVPN and IPsec.

It appears that they are working on that.

    UEFI ❤

I'll be more interested in Wireguard when it's built into Windows like it is for linux.

There is an existing bug which will be fixed before release. https://jira.untangle.com/browse/NGFW-13122

does 16.0 support site-to-site connections using wireguard?

is there any reason to believe that wireguard would be better than OpenVPN for site-to-site connections, assuming WAN connections that are not especially fast (i.e. 100mbit or less)?

Yes, if only because the nature of the protocol deals with all the connections. All connected devices are basically in a managed swarm, the protocol will configure direct connections as needed on the fly. So your road warriors will connect using the shortest path to the resource, not through the central "server".

    No more hub and spoke!
