    Default Custom Dynamic DNS Configuration

    Good Afternoon,

I have just converted over from PaloAlto (and pfsense) and for the most part have everything working correctly. The only item remaining is to get my Dynamic DNS working. in pfsense there was an option for "custom" wherein i could place the requisite information to allow updates to the Dynu service. Unfortunately, I do not see that option nor custom capability in Untangle. That being said, I may have missed it somewhere and am looking to this group for assistance.

All in all I am very pleased with Untangle and its ease of use. Coming from the enterprise world and the open source (pfsense) side of things, the ease of use and simplistic configuration and management is most certainly welcome.

    Regards,

    -MW

Config>>Hostname>>Click on Dynamic DNS Service Configuration>> choose your flavor (service)

EDIT: Just saw you are looking Dynu DNS as an option. As you already discover this one is not there. Try to contact support or add suggestion to Untangle

    Soldier,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, none of the drop-down selections equate to the Dynu service (unless I am missing something)... In the other distro's I was able to use a "custom" field and enter the URL, username, password, options, etc.

Hopefully someone will have had this same issue and solved it. If not I will have to fire up a ddclient docker or VM for this purpose (i prefer not to though).

Are there plans to support others - maybe down the road in the Untangle roadmap? If not others, simply a "custom" option that allows for our own configurations?

Part of the problem with "simple" means there is no "custom".

That isn't to say you can't get into the command line and make it work, but that's not supported.
