    Default How to access web ui over OpenVPN (Access Rules)?

    Under CONFIG > NETWORK > ADVANCED > ACCESS RULES, I have the default "Allow HTTPS on WANs" rule disabled. It was set to allow dest port 443 on ANY WAN.

    While I can access the admin UI without issue from the LAN, I cannot quite figure out what rule(s) I need to create to allow access to web UI when connected to NGFW's OpenVPN client.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Use the the LAN address on the Untangle while connected via OpenVPN. Don't change the access rules!

    Thanks jcoffin. That's exactly what I do. However I get a HTTP admin has been disabled message though I'm access over HTTPS and not HTTP.

    Then use HTTPs? https://lanIP ?

    Failing that...

    Config -> Administration

    Look at the bottom, restrict administration subnets box

    You put something in it... it needs to be modified to let people in from the new network. That might be the OpenVPN address pool range, it might be the LAN IP range if you're using a site-to-site tunnel.

    Untangle is not changing HTTPS to HTTP on it's own. Do you have a port forward rule involving 80 or 443?

    Thanks sky-knight VERY much. I had an old OpenVPN subnet in the restrict administration subnets box. Updating this fixed it!
