    Default NGFW and WireGuard

Greetings to everyone .. I have not been here for a very long time ... what rekindled my interest was an email I received from Untangle that v16 was to be released on October 13 and this version would include WireGuard.

My question is: does the HomePro license include WireGuard?

In checking the following link for HomePro License I do not see that WireGuard is excluded
    https://www.untangle.com/shop/ng-firewall-homepro/

So could someone from Untangle please confirm whether WireGuard is or is not included when purchasing the HomePro license.

    Thank you.

At the moment, WireGuard is only in Complete.

I'm hopeful they'll extend this to HomePro once they have more installs in the wild proving it's stable and won't be a support burden.

As I understand it, WireGuard isnít as secure as OpenVPN. Is that accurate? Really find WG to be a slick convenience so far.

Where are you getting that? It uses proven protocols.

Perhaps miles267 concerns are more focused on the way VPN Providers handle user privacy, and not WireGuard itself?

Here's a relevant article from restoreprivacy.com but I can't say anything about its validity.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but Wireguard is still up and running on my 16.0 box even when it says "No license found". I imported my beta configuration which at the time of backup still had Wireguard available as a timed trial. The trial period is expired now but it's still turned on when I imported to a new box.

Will it eventually turn off? I'm on the free license.

Even though it is "on", it will not route traffic.

It looks like it does though. I'm able to connect to it from my phone and can access my internal stuff.

Here's the page when I started a download, it shows the bytes out going up.

Have WireGuard installed on Home Complete. Really like it. But the app says it has a trial expiration countdown? How to disable this?
