Default GUI will not launch due to disk space limit

The disk space limit has been reached on our Untangle box and as a result the gui is no longer available (nor can we connect to the web UI). Obviously we will need to clear some space down but we have been having issues doing this.

So far we have done Ctrl-Alt-F2 to login however no login which is could be will work it just comes up with incorrect login.

When restarting the Unit it gives us access to GRUB from here we can press e and modify the loadout to allow us to reset a password to a default. This also does not seem to do anything.

We have tried booting to an Ubuntu Boot USB and from there I can see all the files on the HDD (also shows as 0 bytes available) however I do not have permissions to remove anything so yet again no avail.

The only terminal we can get to is the one via GRUB and that will not find "downloads.untangle.com" via Curl so I am unable to follow this: https://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/...r_Reports_Data

I've hit a bit of a wall with it now so if anyone has any advice it would be highly appreciated.

Here is a copy of the message that comes up when it cant load the GUI: https://imgur.com/f4tEiWD

"-bash: cannot create temp file for here-document: No space left on device"

It is probably mounted read only. Google how to remount read/write. Then be careful.

    The HDD is 80GB

In regards to being careful, is there a recommendation of files that I should remove? I'd assumed it was the reports data but Stronger confirmation on the location of that would be helpful.

I never had this problem. Might be best to do a new install with a larger drive. Then keep an eye on whatever is using so much space.

These are intended to be used from inside a working Untangle, so you can't just run them... but they may contain the information you need if you know how to read them.
