Default NG Firewall 16.2.1 is now available

NGFW v16.2.1 is now available and is a minor release for RADIUS Proxy server bug fixes.

You can read about the changes here:
    https://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/16.2.1_Changelog

Version 16.2.1 is available for download on Command Center, and will start rolling out to our customers with automatic updates turned on soon.

    Enjoy!

When will the upgrade be available for me?
Upgrades are rolled out over time to the existing servers. If you want the upgrade immediately, email your box UID to support and request adding your UID to the Early Upgrade List.

Does the upgrade require a reboot?
The upgrade will not require a reboot.

    Hello!

I was told by support 16.2.1 upgrade has some known issues...what's been your experience with it?
What sort of bugs have you experienced?

This is very important to me as it brings a few killing features which are critical to my use case.

    Thanks!!

In my NFS setup i have not had any new issues with 16.2.1 but that setup is rather easy and uncomplex.

Do you know what issues support was talking about?

    Hi WebFooL,

Unfortunately I don't. I asked to be placed to the Early Adoption list and got replied at the moment there's issue (unspecified), thus they'll put me on it as soon as those issues are being cleared.

Glad it all went down quite well for you tho.

Are you implementing a user based FW strategy leveraging RADIUS (like myself) or what?

The bug is only for those who have upgrade since 10.2 (rare). Version 10.2 has default access rules as editable which was causing an issue with the upgrade script. This is fixed as of yesterday and a new 16.2.2 was released this morning.

Thanks this is really helpful. I will reach out to support again asking to put me on the Early Adoption list and upgrade to 16.2.2 right away.
