ATT Modem DHCP and Management
Hello. I have an ATT modem where the DHCP server cannot be turned off. Somehow DHCP was answering requests and causing issues the last few weeks even though I've had this thing for years. I did find one of the wifi antennas was still enabled. Those are all disabled so maybe my DHCP issue is resolved. I've also tried adding a rule to untangle to block ports 67 and 68. Not sure it's really working because I never see anything in the firewall block report for those ports.
My modem has the standard IP address of 192.168.1.254. That is a different network than my internal network, but I can still connect to it from my internal network through untangle. I'm really not sure how that works.
My setup is pretty standard:
Internet <==> Modem (192.168.1.254) <==> Untangle <==> Internal network (192.168.xyz.0)
How am I able to get to my modem's management address at 192.168.1.254 through the untangle?
Any ideas?
Thanks
James
