Default bypass ubiquiti WAPs and Switches

Is it best practice to bypass devices such as Ubiquiti WAPs and Switches?

Might be a dumb question, but I think the answer is yes.
Untangle gods, what are your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

    I wouldn't... I'd be firewalling them off!

The only bit of the Unifi ecosystem that needs to talk to the Internet is the controller. The devices only need a clear path to the controller. So they shouldn't be burning licenses. UNLESS you have them transiting VLANs to get to a controller, in that case yes, bypass them.

I'm utilizing a cloud controller, Hostifi, so I assume that's why theses devices are showing up and burning licenses. By firewall'ing, do you mean keeping them on a mgmt vlan?

Yes, and Hostifi gives you a static address, just bypass everything destined to it.
