Unhappy Possible DNS issues with 16.3.2

So things are at the stage where I have had to reset my ISP router from bridged mode to router mode and remove my trusty Z4 appliance running 16.3.2 from my network so we can once again have internet.

Since late last night, I am trying to figure out why I was getting what I assumed was DNS issues from my ISP router which I have normally running in bridged mode to allow me access to my actual WAN IP.

    Issues:
    • Video Traffic will Play if the complete URL is in the browser
    • Untangle Tests for connectivity, DNS, etc all show as successful
    • Basically all HTTP and HTTPS traffic is not passing through

With the ISP router reset and connected directly to my unifi switch, my home now once again has internet (wired and wireless).

I deploy untangle for all my clients and have been running this unit

I had no issues before upgrading to 16.3.2 and now just a couple days after the upgrade I am dead in the water... I was initially blaming my ISP but now I can't find any evidence that it's their issue.

Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this?

From linux you ca n run
    Code:
    nslookup somesit.com dnstotest
to see what the dns returns. If it fails try traceroute to see were it fails. Might work on windows but I don.t have anymore to test.

    I have same issue.
It is not really an DNS issue.
What locks you is webfilter / threat prevention. When you clear cache in WF you will get internet for minute or two. then it will reload tables and you are out.

So far I had to turn off both WF and TP to have internet. I can live without WF for some time, with TP off in these times ... not so much

There is a problem with Web Filter right now. Use live support and they can get it working as a work around until the larger issue is fixed.

Thank you for the confirmation. Browsing is slow and eventually timed out. Disabling Webfilter app yesterday fixed the issue for now on my end.

If someone from Untangle can fix this as i rely on webfilter to block for spyware, malware, botnets, etc. For now, my Pihole is doing the job as the primary defense.

It is automatic if your box is connected to Command Center.
