    Yeah... and as nice as that HTC may be... why is it that it is ALSO vendor locked?

    I mean WTH... if I want a phone, why can't I use it on any carrier? These divisions go a bit deeper than the differences in the two major cellular techs.

    Yes but no Verizon... Verizon has the network to fuel these mega advanced phones and the only one they get is the Droid.

    If they can control the phones you can get on each network, they only have to compete with phones and their features. If every carrier had every phone, they would have to compete with the strength and reliability of their networks too.
