Genuine Advantage errors.

On Friday, I started getting errors that XP couldn't continue with its Genuine Advantage updates. Essentially couldn't get a new laptop up and running.

This morning, I still had the error, and thought to myself, last week Untangle was updated to v8.1 so let disable everything.

I disabled all appliances in the rack and I was able to get the Microsoft updates.

I'll go back and turn each appliance on, one by one, while I try to apply updates with another machine and try and see wha appliance is causing the problem.

Oh and I did put microsoft.com as a safe site in the web filter before shutting everything off.

Do you have any rules in the Firewall?, what is the default permission, allow or deny?
