    Seriously, Microsoft has always had to take 3 stabs at anything to get it right...

    Windows 1.0? heh most don't even remember it..
    Windows 2.0? Don't even go there?
    Widnows 3.0/3.11 for workgroups? SOLD LIKE CRAZY

    Then we all went 32bit and Windows 95 came out... yeah it worked but it had it's issues...

    Then we got 98... and finally 98 SE... people STILL run that one...

    NT 3.51 wasn't very popular... NT 4.0 was huge... NT 5.0 (2000) was a success but not all that massive... then game NT 5.1... XP... people don't want to let go.

    So now we start over again with Vista... NT 6.0... and we eagerly await Windows 7 which I assume is actually NT 6.1...

    So the real question is... not about how cool Windows 7 is... it's about how cool its replacement is.. that will be round 3 and the one that sticks for the next 15 years if history repeats... again.
