Default Full Tunnel with Non-Tunneled Local Traffic?

I've been unable to get this working and don't see any way around it at this point - I'm wanting to be able to have all External/Internet/WAN traffic go through OpenVPN using a Full Tunnel but I want to be able to have all Internal/Local/LAN traffic to not go through OpenVPN's Full Tunnel (aka keep local access local). I've tried to setup a route in the OpenVPN Client config file which appears to be ignored (makes sense since the Tunnel options are seem to be controlled locally on the Untangle OpenVPN Server), I've tried to setup the client as a Network setting the local LAN IP address range but that didn't work either (this is not a site to site VPN using two Untangle boxes but an OpenVPN client connecting to a remote Untangle OpenVPN Server). I couldn't see anything online or in the forms about this either, anyone got any ideas on how to get it working this way?

From what I understood, the Tunnel VPN app is for a Site to Site Untangle VPN setup, right? If so, that isn't what I'm asking here, as I'm trying to connect an OpenVPN client and not another Untangle box back to an Untangle OpenVPN Server box.

TunnelVPN is NOT for site to site. It is for directing outbound traffic through VPN.

Oh is this an individual PC connecting to an Untangle? Sorry for the misdirection.

If a PC client wanting full tunnel,. On the Untangle openvpn server click on groups and make a full tunnel group. Then assign the client to that group. This is all on the openvpn app on the Untangle server.

Yes, a OpenVPN Client (non-Untangle box) connecting to an Untangle OpenVPN Server but the issue here is that when I enable Full Tunnel on the OpenVPN Server Group, all local LAN access are disconnected ... I'm trying to be able to maintain connection to local LAN resources but have everything External/Internet/WAN based be forced through the VPN Tunnel, some people refer to this as a Split Tunnel but that is different from some of the descriptions I've see with Untangle's Default Group (aka with Full Tunnel Disabled) or only the Exported Networks being accessible over the OpenVPN connection.

What type of box is this? A PC, router, etc?

It's a PC and from time to time an Android tablet.
