    Question Convert OVPN file to Untangle

    Hi folks,

    Wanted to try out ProtonVPN and having the same issue as this thread here:

    https://forums.untangle.com/openvpn/...envpn-app.html

    The config file doesn't import natively into Untangle, but the suggestion in that thread is that you can create a zip which will work if formatted correctly.

    The contents of the downloaded ovpn file are:

    Code:
    client
    dev tun
    proto udp

    remote nl-free-01.protonvpn.com 1194
    remote nl-free-01.protonvpn.com 5060
    remote nl-free-01.protonvpn.com 80
    remote nl-free-01.protonvpn.com 4569
    remote nl-free-01.protonvpn.com 443

    remote-random
    resolv-retry infinite
    nobind
    cipher AES-256-CBC
    auth SHA512
    comp-lzo no
    verb 3

    tun-mtu 1500
    tun-mtu-extra 32
    mssfix 1450
    persist-key
    persist-tun

    reneg-sec 0

    remote-cert-tls server
    auth-user-pass
    pull
    fast-io

    <ca>
    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----
    </ca>

    key-direction 1
    <tls-auth>
    # 2048 bit OpenVPN static key
    -----BEGIN OpenVPN Static key V1-----
    -----END OpenVPN Static key V1-----
    </tls-auth>
    Can anyone tell if that even has the required info to generate the zip file needed? I'm a bit stuck.

    Many thanks

    First you should edit and remove your certs.

    Wrong module, you use TunnelVPN for this, not OpenVPN.

    Ah OK... I was thrown a bit of a red herring as the VPN provider gives out .ovpn files for config, didn't realise you could use those with the TunnelVPN app too. Thanks!
