Changing to Username/Password Authentication

We're using OpenVPN for site-to-site between main office - branch office and clients-to-main office w/o authentication.
Now we're considering to change to Username/Password Authentication for client connections.
As a result, all client certificates have to be recreated. My question is:
1. Do i have to recreate also the site-to-site certificate?
2. If so, will it prompt user/password dialog while connecting, and how to bypass it?

You can use the existing site-to-site certificates. Clients will only be asked for the password if they have a config file with the option enabled or if they are not a network defined profile.
