    Default OpenVPN becomes useless?

I have downloaded viscosity, and tried openvpn out. at first, it worked perfectly. I could send email from "inside" my network, I could access local machines, and so on.

After closing the connection, I opened it again to send email, and kept getting an error that the internal IP couldn't be reached. ping worked to that IP, and access to other machines worked.

Now, I can no longer ping anything after I connect, and I can't access UT's internal address either. it's like the whole thing got sick and died. I have tried turning restarting the vpn service, and rebooting my laptop, to no avail. I am running 6.1 still.
I'm not sure which end the problem is on, but I'm leaning towards UT.

As always, help will be appreciated.

Did you autoupgrade to 6.2? There are a few people that have had an issue with OpenVPN after the ugprade. The fix is to edit something on the external interface and resave the settings, usually the second dns server so that it doesn't have to down the interface.

I have not, I'm still on 6.1. Might that fix be worth trying anyways?

It may... I have no experience with Viscosity myself to know how to troubleshoot the client. I have had issues in the past where I've had to power cycle the OpenVPN module to get it to come back.

Turns out, it was entirely my fault. I had checked the "send all data through VPN" box, which is apparently not supported, so it broke.

Turned it off, and everything works again.

EDIT: well, i got one email out, and now thats' not working again.
