Default v13 Bug? Can not enter usernames with "\" in them

When using VPN I use windows account authentication for L2TP. As such, when I look in the session/host list it shows the username as the format "domain\user".

If I try to add a username of that format to my policy manager rules it doesn't take... I hit save, I lose connectivity for a while, then I look at the rules and the newly added username is not there...

So, I can't apply policies to those users, unless I do it by IP address - which I think is fine for my use, but I wanted to report the issue nonetheless.

If L2TP authentication is only by local directory and RADIUS, how are you authenticating with Windows credentials? Local directory does not allow \ in usernames.

Untangle Radius connected to Windows NPM. Client (windows laptop) setup using windows pass through credentials for the VPN login. I also setup my Android VPN to use domain\user as the username. Works fine on both.

So now that I'm home I tried again. I *was* able to add a username like domain\user when I did it from my local desktop - so that's good. Not sure why it didn't work the first time, but I was doing it over spotty wifi via VPN, so whatever.

Thanks for the details. I'll look into using Windows NPM in the future.
