Default Identify Chromebooks for Policy Manager

    Hi All,
I am looking for the simplest way to identify Chromebooks at the school I volunteer to support. The students are the only ones using Chromebooks and we have several models with different manufacturers.

Ultimately, I am planning on directing them to my students rack which contains more restrictive policies.

    Thanks in advance!

It's not very practical to detect OS via network traffic. HTTP agent types are easily changed. I would recommend using MAC address to assign an IP address in a specific range in /admin/index.do#config/network/dhcp-server for each Chromebook and then make a policy rule for the range.
