Default Quick way to enable and disable policies rules

I have time base rules for my kids. It cuts them off at 10:30 in the morning when their online classes start. The rules end at 5 pm or until they finish all homework and other chores. Some days they are done earlier than 5 pm so I find myself turning on and off the rules in Untangle. It is a bit of a pain to log in regularly to turn on and off the rules.

What is a quick way to do this without having to log in to Untangle? Is there any sort of API? I did a search on this and not much is coming up.

Any ideas? Perhaps using SSH. I'm in IT managing servers using SSH etc...

Uncheck the enable checkbox for the policy rule. Sounds as simple as it gets.

Yes, I know but I don't want to each time log in to Untangle. I have to login to Untangle constantly and want to avoid that

There is no way to automate arbitrary changes in policy. Nor should policy changes be possible without authentication.

There is an API, but you'd have to do the same thing the UI does, which means pulling source and reading.

    Log in from where?
    On the box?
I leave untangle open in a tab on a client all the time, just refresh, usually no log-in

Is there a REST endpoint one can hit (say over Curl)? I have the same issue and was thinking maybe creating a shortcut (e.g. a iOS shortcut) that I can run to enable and disable - I saw some docs pointing out auth and a token but wondering if anyone has done this.

You can make coarse policy changes through the enabling or disabling of policies, which can kind-of be done remotely. See this thread:
