You can only see the IP address of the HTTPS site with web filter (paid).

Are there any special setup steps necessary, or is this "on" right out of the box?
There's a setting in the Web Filter to categorize HTTPs sites by IP address, that needs turned on but other than that, it's working out of the box.

hhhmmmm I have that turned on, and still don't see anything in either the Event Log or if I generate the reports and download the raw data...
What are you trying to block?

Do you have any categories checked as flagged?

Not really trying to block anything but rather use it for tracking purposes.. We had a situation yesterday where a GM of one of our clients got a call that someone inside their network (confirmed by the public IP that they had in their logs) was trying to transfer money fraudently.. we were hoping to go through the report data from yesterday and figure out what user it was.. Even if we only had the IP address to go on, it would be a starting point..
And we don't have any categories flagged..
You have to check "flagged" for the site to show up in the reports. So if you want it tracking everything you need to set "flagged" for every category. Otherwise your report will be blank, as you found out.
