Question Client Activity Report - Data Extraction

    Hello Everyone!

I would like to know if there is any interface to extract the information contained at the Client Activity section of the Activity Summary part of the untangle reports.

I ask this because I want to gather this information and display it at our self-service portal so our users can know how much traffic they are generating and possibly suspend service for the heavy users.

Are there any APIs that can be used or something like an XML Web Service?

Please let me know. This might be interesting for everyone using Untangle.

I will publish my Self-Service portal section regarding traffic usage under an open source license and will make it available for everyone at the Untangle community.

    Thanks for your help!

    Best Regards,

    CPereira

    Exclamation

    Hey guys,

I know no-one has any responsibility on answering posts, but at least a "It's not possible" response would be appreciated. I feel totally abandoned here.
And I know that I'm not the only one that would need a solution to a problem as I presented above.

I like Untangle software a lot, and I feel like the purpose of the community is to solve problems and improve the product together.

Please help me out on this one.

    Thanks,

    Carlos

    Carlos,
Yes, it's possible, but not from an Untangle GUI. Untangle keeps everything you need in a Postgres Database that you can configure to be able to connect to it remotely and harvest anything you want. If you need more info about it, do a search for Postgres.

I'm working on a similar system that pulls stuff from postgres and stuffs data into an mssql database for an asp.net application to present. It isn't hard, just reconfiguring postgres to allow connections other than local host and then putting the postgres client software on another machine so you can connect.
