Default WireGuard - Connection Events not populating

Playing with WG, works great, shows enabled tunnels on status page but in Reports - Connection Events is blank, the other sections do populate, just not Connection Events. Ctrl + F5, FF, Chrome, blah, blah.

Unless you use the ping option, the report will have no data. WG is stateless so there is no connect/disconnect status.

I'm seeing the same thing but I wanted to use the Events --> Triggers option to tag WireGuard sessions.

Does this mean that the WireGuardVpnEvent class with eventType of CONNECT will never happen?

Nope, because the packets authenticate individually. They're either signed properly, or they aren't. There is no connect or disconnect, just packets landing and either being processed or not.

That's why Wireguard is so darned fast! But in this case, a bit of a headache.

    That would explain it then.

I still am having issues getting the CONNECTED/DISCONNECTED entries in the reporting even when using the ping option.

Is there something else I should use besides the same value as the remote device when I'm setting up a roaming tunnel (ie for a cell phone)?

Each client is its own tunnel so why not just match on the remote peer IP address?

That's what I'm going to wind up doing I think.
