    I tried to revert to linksys firmware. Uploaded the linksys firmware and it said not a valid upgrade. Is there another way?

    Yes lan ports all work.

    Same problem with openwrt. Only linksys firmware works.

    That is very interesting. I wonder if Linksys changed the hardware in some way.

    Except it doesn't work on my network either. DHCP from a 2012 r2 server. Or setting it to static. And no solution in either of those threads.

    Going to try dd-wrt. I am getting good at reseting this dam thing to stock.

    DD-wrt also dows not get an ip address. Wireshark on the server shows no dhcp request while wrt1900 is booting.

    Does anybody have this working?

    I got it working by moving to a different port on the switch, Very weird because my laptop and the stock firmware worked fine on that port. Haven't tried with the cable modem yet. Same cable different cable made no difference. Makes no sense to me.

    The error is very misleading. "exec: "dhclient": executable file not found in $PATH" You can reproduce it by unplugging the cable.
