Default Wifi card for untangle router

    Hi,
I plan to run the Untangle software on an old compact desktop (i5-8Gb RAM- 250GB SSD). As I plan to use this device for routing as well, I'm going to add a PCI card with some NIC's and a PCI card for wifi. My question is if the wifi card has any speicific requirements.

I can't seem to find any info online whether a router wifi card is any different from a workstation wifi card. Is there any client-server type situation to be considered, or will any wifi card work (provided it's strong enough)

Are you sure you mean Untangle SDWAN? Or are you referring the Untangle NGFW? SDWAN will most likely not work with random motherboard. It is firmware so it depends on specific hardware. NGFW is different as it has a self configuring installer.

Ok perhaps I'm in the wrong section then. I mean to install the home protection appliance
